1. Scope
Getail is a Shopify app and related website operated by Letail, LLC. It is designed for Shopify merchants, not as a direct seller to shoppers. These terms address a merchant's use of Getail's website, embedded admin app, storefront assistant and enabled integrations. A merchant's own store terms and policies continue to govern its sales and customer relationships.
2. What Getail does
Depending on release status, permissions and merchant configuration, Getail can prepare store knowledge from product data, merchant-provided questions and answers, and selected pages; provide an on-site AI shopping assistant and merchant playground; assist with product discovery and order-status questions; and record conversations, usage and handoffs for merchant review.
Optional workflows include location-specific pickup requests, loyalty points and reward redemption, Google Merchant Center local-inventory publication, Google Business Profile review management, and Google Chat notifications. Each requires its own configuration and, where applicable, account eligibility, API access and merchant approval. A feature shown in the app or on the features page is not a promise that every merchant or location can use it immediately.
Getail is not Shopify's native local-pickup fulfillment flow, a universal AI-agent integration, an autonomous checkout service, or a guarantee of placement in Google or another platform's shopping results.
3. Merchant configuration and responsibilities
The merchant is responsible for its Shopify store, products, prices, policies, inventory, locations, account access, customer notices and legally required permissions. Before enabling shopper-facing features, it should check the content and answers it supplies, test the assistant, choose permitted tools, and provide a human route for questions the assistant cannot resolve. The merchant should submit only material and credentials it is authorized to use and should keep its connected accounts and API keys secure.
The merchant remains responsible for the accuracy of stock and offer mappings, any required disclosures to shoppers, order fulfillment, pickup instructions, returns, customer service, and the rules of its loyalty program. Getail's records or generated suggestions do not replace the merchant's Shopify records or its own review of a transaction.
The merchant should provide only content it is authorized to use and keep its own customer notices and permissions current. Getail uses merchant-provided content to operate the features the merchant enables; these terms do not transfer ownership of that content.
4. AI output and human review
The assistant uses the merchant's configured Gemini credentials and store context. Generated text, product suggestions, order-related answers and drafted review replies may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, including when source data appears accurate. The merchant should test and monitor shopper-facing behavior, check consequential outputs against its current store records, and review a drafted review reply before posting it. Getail does not promise discovery, rankings, traffic, sales, or compatibility with every AI shopping agent.
The merchant supplies its own Gemini API key for chat and knowledge embeddings. Google may apply separate usage charges, rate limits, data-use terms and account restrictions to that key; those are not included in a Getail subscription. A Google account connection or submitted key does not itself make an integration available if the relevant API, permissions or provider approval are missing.
5. Shopper actions and external publication
A confirmed pickup request can reserve stock at a selected Shopify location and create a draft order for merchant follow-up. It is not a completed sale, a paid order, Shopify's native pickup order, or a notice that an item is ready for collection. Holds expire or require merchant attention according to the configured workflow; the merchant must verify inventory movements, resolve exceptions and communicate the next step to the shopper.
When enabled, loyalty points can be earned on paid orders and rewards can create customer-scoped Shopify discount codes after the app's identity checks. The merchant chooses the program rules and remains responsible for the offer, eligibility and shopper communications. An email address typed into a chat is not, by itself, proof of a shopper's identity.
Local inventory can be sent only for mapped Shopify variants, eligible store locations and existing Google offers. Google decides whether submitted data is accepted, approved or displayed. Clearing a mapping in Getail does not necessarily remove inventory previously published to Google; the merchant must check Merchant Center when changing or retiring a mapping. Review replies are merchant-initiated posts to Google Business Profile, not an automatic guarantee of publication.
6. Plans, metering and Shopify billing
The pricing page shows the app's current configured USD prices and conversation allowances. The Free plan has no Getail subscription charge. A paid plan is requested through Shopify and requires the merchant to approve Shopify's subscription confirmation; the app configures recurring charges every 30 days. Getail's usage counter treats a shopper session with at least one AI reply as a conversation and counts it at most once in a rolling 24-hour window. Allowances reset at the start of each UTC calendar month, which can differ from a paid plan's 30-day billing date. Merchant playground tests are not metered as storefront conversations.
The current billing page shows usage and a warning when the allowance is reached; the assistant continues answering. The app does not currently implement automatic overage charges or a hard stop at the allowance. Plan selection and a switch to Free are available in the app's Billing page; the Free action requests cancellation of an active Shopify app subscription with proration enabled. Any actual charge, credit or cancellation result must be checked in Shopify's billing record. Gemini and other third-party costs are separate.
Review the price and applicable taxes shown in Shopify before approving a paid subscription. A cancellation request does not itself guarantee a credit or refund; check Shopify's billing record for the result. For a billing question, contact Getail support.
7. Third-party services and data
Getail depends on Shopify and, for features the merchant enables, may exchange relevant data with Google Gemini, Google Merchant Center, Google Business Profile or Google Chat. Shopify and Google operate their own services under their own account requirements and terms. Their availability, API permissions, prices and decisions about displayed content are outside Getail's control. A merchant should review the applicable provider terms and configure only accounts it is entitled to connect.
Getail processes store, shopper and integration information to run the enabled workflows as described in the privacy notice. The merchant's notices to its own shoppers and any required data-processing arrangement remain separate.
8. Support, changes and ending use
Merchants can contact support@getail.com. An assistant handoff or email notification records a request for human follow-up; it is not a live human chat or a promise of a response within a particular time. Website, app and provider features may be unavailable while release validation, account configuration or maintenance is in progress.
Support@getail.com forwards to the person responding at pete@letail.com, so a reply may come from that address. App-generated email notifications require separate configuration and may be unavailable until enabled. Uninstalling Getail removes access but does not immediately delete every store record; see the privacy notice for data-handling details.
