Set up an AI-ready shopping journey

Prepare your store data, configure access and test a complete journey before publishing.

Getail ·

Getail is being prepared for release. This is a preparation checklist, not a claim that public installation is available today. Contact us for current access options. Install only through a verified Shopify flow for the correct Getail app.

Prepare the store

  1. Pick representative products, including variants and an out-of-stock example.
  2. Review product descriptions, FAQs, shipping and returns policies.
  3. Check which locations offer which items, and who manages those records.
  4. Decide who will handle escalations and where a shopper should expect follow-up.

Configure a test installation

Once access is available, review Shopify’s permission screen and open Getail in the admin. Configure your Gemini credentials and knowledge sources. Do not enable sensitive actions until their permissions and behavior have been verified.

For the storefront assistant, open your theme’s customization screen and locate the Getail app embed. Enable and save it in a test theme first. Confirm that it appears on the intended pages and does not obscure navigation or checkout controls. Theme labels can vary; ask support if the embed is missing.

Test all three pillars

  • Knowledge: ask product and policy questions with known answers.
  • Availability: compare a specific variant and location against the source inventory and configured Merchant Center mapping.
  • Action: test the supported pickup and loyalty flow, including confirmation, failure and pickup expiry/recovery paths.

The assistant is one shopping surface. This setup does not enroll your store in an external AI shopping marketplace or enable universal autonomous checkout.

Publish only after review

Follow the testing checklist, verify your support delivery, and review customer-facing notices. Keep a way to disable the storefront embed if answers or actions are not behaving correctly.
